Expert in keeping working areas cleanliness & sanitation to meet the expected standard. Well verse in operating kitchen's equipment in safe and proper manner, whilst ensuring catering members are strictly following the safety requirements and performed their tasks in safe and planned way.

" ... Myself is well experienced Chief Steward since 1990's in supervising and heading the catering department. I am reporting directly to Master where my responsibilities are to directs, instructs, and assigns catering personnel performing such functions as:-
food handling, preparing and serving meals, whilst maintaining high efficiency on waste management ... As life on board required high & top notch quality of hygiene, hence my daily tasks are not only covering cleanliness in catering departments and kitchen utensils & equipment but also covered officers' quarters and accommodation surrounding areas ... Together with Master, I'm also involved in bonded stores and provisions requisition besides than maintaining dry stores and cold room inventories.

In early 90's until 2005, I had the experience to replace duty of Radio Officer (or Spark Officer) since the company wanted to eliminate the Sparks' position on board ... Since then, I had the opportunity and solid knowledge in preparing port papers, customs & immigration clearance, crew's article and handling stevedores.

... Anyone who had worked with me, will find myself as easy going & happy go lucky ... Apart from making new friends, I'd like to 'listen and talk' to my staffs (their job problems, family problems, sad story, happy story, their dreams etc. you name it ...) ... Of course, as a Head of Catering Department, I'm slightly autocrat, but no matter what, I will always be on their side and keep listening to them ... and this is how I engage with my team ... Sailing from port to port & from one country to another, will always keep myself close to my team members whenever we had the opportunity to go ashore, and spend our quality time together ... in short, I love to travel as this trigger my 'relax' mode and ease the job's tension.
